The Best Creamy Garlic Pasta


As creamy pasta goes, this is the best one I ever ate. Throw in shrimp and/or scallops for a killer seafood Alfredo.

Ingredients


  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups chicken broth, or additional, as needed
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ pound spaghetti
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 ½ tablespoons dried parsley

Instructions


Gather all ingredients.

What to Do

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the butter and whisk constantly until melted.


  1. Pour in 3 cups chicken broth; season with pepper and salt. Bring to a boil. Drop in spaghetti and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender but firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. If the pasta begins to stick to the pan, add more chicken broth.


  1. Add the Parmesan cheese, cream, and parsley and mix until completely combined. Serve immediately.



Note: Don't drain the broth. This deliciousness is the base for your sauce. Just follow the recipe. It’s meant to all happen in one pan.
